Welcome to ABLE Jacksonville

Building Independent Lives Through Life Skills, Community, and Opportunity

ABLE Jacksonville empowers adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through life skills training, employment readiness, social engagement, and community inclusion, helping every participant build confidence and greater independence.

Our Guiding Principle

Dignity, Self-Determination, and Active Participation

We believe every adult deserves the opportunity to build a fulfilling life, supported by a community that values their unique contributions.

Our Journey

Building a Foundation for Life

ABLE Jacksonville was founded because, as the mother of an adult son with intellectual disabilities, I experienced firsthand how few opportunities existed after high school. Families needed more than services, they needed community, purpose, friendships, and opportunities for continued growth.

Today, ABLE Jacksonville provides life skills classes, employment readiness workshops, social events and community experiences that help adults build confidence, develop independence, and create meaningful connections. Our vision is a community where every adult has the opportunity to thrive and live a fulfilling life.
